Just doing a little catching up :)

Ok. I apparently have tons of pictures on my computer that I need to go through and put on disks... these are just from when we went to the basin for grandpas funeral.

And I thought we got lots of snow? This was when we had no snow here. Very glad I'm not living in the basin. That's gotta be at least 5-6 inches, or more.

It was, at least, a nice view up a path that is usually a nice walk, when it isn't covered in snow. Stupid white stuff.

Our hotel room at the Springfield suites in Vernal. Very classy. Probably the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in.

He hates it when I get his picture when he isn't expecting it. Bwa ha ha. There is a reason I take the pictures...

This is my grandmother saying goodbye to my grandfather. I was surprised that I caught it with all my aunts milling about like crazies...

And last, a morbid picture that my mother actually requested. Its the last photo of my granddad, obviously, but it creeps me out a little bit to tell you the truth. I have a great photo of him at Christmas in his old Marines uniform, but search as I might, i can't find it anywhere. I'm very saddened by that.

In other news, we went to the new Pizza Stop in Magna last night with Becca and Steven, and Toni and Bekah. It was fun, even though we had to leave early because brian had to work early this morning. It is always nice to get out and hang out with friends. Its a rare treat for me because it seems that my friends are always so busy. :)

At the end of next month, I will be starting my 6th month of pregnancy. It has actually gone by rather fast. I'm glad to be past the scary stage and I really enjoy being able to feel my baby move and stuff. I'm excited to buy baby stuff this month when we get our taxes back. I think it will be awesome.

I also have a bunch of pictures of all my latest craft projects. I will update those on a day I am off work, as it will be a very lengthy blog, I am sure. i really need to get my pictures printed and start working on my wedding book and stuff again. I feel so far behind. I get started and then it takes me forever to finish. I was hoping to be caught up before Spencer is born, but I don't really see that happening anytime soon.

Work is going well for now. My boss is really wanting to quit, but she wants to wait for a while before she does. They are saying that Sam's may not resign our contract next year in March, so I am going to see if I can find a new job by the time I get back from maternity leave. If not, the Manager at Sam's in Murray is the same one that hired me in provo and he will give me a job there making almost what i make now. Thankfully, I was smart enough to work well in college. :)

Um, I think that is really all that I have to say. I'll try to update again on Tuesday. I'm making pink lemonade cupcakes. I'm curious to see how they turn out.

Lots of Catching up to do

My granddad, Ervin Larsen, died on the 27th of February. He had been battling prostate cancer for over 9 years. We had to drive out just past vernal to Tridell, where he was buried. Tridell is a little hick town that you can drag main street in less than 5 minutes walking. it is where my grandmother and my mother grew up.

Grandpa got a 21 gun salute at his graveside service because he spent time in the marines. He was actually on one of the boats in france at D-Day.

His favorite soda was mountain dew. We were naughty grandchildren. We used to sneak it to him even though he wasn't supposed to have it. In our hotel room after the funeral, we toasted my grandfather with a lot of mountain dew. The mortuary even let each grandkid put a can of mountain dew in his casket. That was well over 100 cans. :)

I will miss him, but I'm glad I was able to see him and visit him at the very end. He was the last og my granddads to die.

In other news, Brian and I found out that we are having a boy. We are going to name him Spencer Tyler. I am excited, and I hope that all goes well with the rest of my pregnancy.
