5 Generational Photos

It isn't very often that you have 5 full generations anymore, so we had pictures done with Brian's Family. His great grandparents' DeWaal, the Wrights, The Wrights, and us. This one is probably my favorie of all of them
Here we all are again

Just the main line. Spencer, Brian, Elizabeth, Claudia, and Barbara amd Jacob.

I love this picture. I just kissed him randomaly as he was looking at my sis-in-law, and she got the shot!

I thought this was a unique famiy photo. Of course, he was sleeping, but hey, I thought it was still cute.

This es everybody's favorite for the family photo.

Ok, so I've decided to update in small short bursts...

This one is from when Spencer was 6 weeks old, when he got blessed in September.

I do have to admit I miss my long hair...I chopped it off a few weeks ago.

And I forgot I had that skirt...sorry, a few random things

A small family photo. I look at these and can't believe he was so small. He is HUGE now.

I love this picture. He was such a bright eyed alert little guy, even when he was brand new. Hia looks have changed so much since then. He looks more like me now.

I'm rather partial to this one, too. Thank You Liz for taking the photos and doing all the editing for me!

Baby Blues

I thought I would update a bit about Spencer.

In his Handsome like daddy shirt. He is so cute, absolutely adorable.
Ah, his first tummy yime, in which he crawled 4 inches in that little army crawl scoot thing that they do at first. Little snot...

Ah, his little bouncer that he so loves

I love this picture of him.

Little Frog boy...so sweet

His Biliruben tests came back too high so he had to have this light bed. Needless to say, he didn't like it.

Oy. I can't believe Spencer will be 4 weeks old tomorrow, and technically a month old on Sunday. He is growing so fast! He's already almost too tall to wear 0-3 month clothes. I can't believe it. Before I know it, he's going to be a year old!

I have been a tad depressed lately, too. It's a normal bit of fluctuating hormones. I mainly take care of the baby so Brian can get the rest he needs for work, because if he misses or shows up late 3 times in a month, he will be fired, which is really lame considering the fact that he is a temporary employee. He's already up to 12 of 12 points because he had to take the time off to take baby in for biliruben testing and the day off when he got circumcised. Anyway, staying up with screaming, squalling baby takes its toll. I'm exhausted. I cry at lame things that are not sad or distressting. I feel very inadequate as a mother because I can't get my baby to not fuss sometimes. My mom will actually take him overnight for a few nights a week so I can get some rest, but it makes me feel like I can't take care of my baby.

For the most part, he really only fusses at night. He really is quite a good baby. He eats a lot though. He is already taking 4 oz a feeding, every 2-3 hours. I think he weighs a good 10 pounds now.

baby

The little guy was born on July 21 at 3:00 p.m. He was 6lb and 14oz and 19.5 inches long. He sure is a cute little guy. we named him Spencer Tyler. I can't believe how tiny he is. :)

When it Rains it Pours

I finally have almost everything ready for the baby. We have a few last minute things we need to take care of, and we should be good. I took a tour of the hospitals labor and delivery and pre registered for my admittance so all I have to do is sign consent forms. I about near passed out when they gave us the self pay (aka no insurance) price for having said baby...10,000. Yes, you read right, $10,000. We'll be paying him off til he's 5.

Brian still hasn't found a job, so if you know of one, let us know. We could really use insurance and full time hours right about now. I'm starting to worry about what we're going to do when I'm on leave with no income for a month...sigh. I think I may ask my visiting teachers to bring me meals for the first few days when I get back, just so I dont have to worry about it, but they may think that's strange where I live with my parents. I don't know...sigh...I'll figure something out I suppose.

I"ll have to make the few things that I can make into freezer meals into freezer meals this week. I'm hoping I will have the time to squeeze it in. I'm only planning on taking 3 weeks for maternity leave, I can't really afford anything longer than that, so please pray that everything will go fine for both of us and I won't need a c section or anytihng like that.

I am stressed to the max so the next few weeks ought to be fun. My mother is after me for everything and anything lately. I get frustrated with life's crap, and my sister irritates me sometimes. All I can do is hope and pray that everything is going to be ok.

I wonder about this trial in life sometimes and what its preparing us for...No job, no insurance, and a new baby is just about as bad as it can be. I think it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Thanks for letting me vent. It soes me good to let things out everyonce in a while. :)
