Maybe this will bring us up to date...

In the last few weeks since Kim has been home from college, she has had us going to all these historic sites. There are like 60 she wants to see in a month. It's a free ride for me, well, i do the driving, but she pays for me to get into places, she pays for my gas, and she buys me lunch. It's also a great way to get out of the house on my days off.

We went to Liberty Park last Tuesday and took Christy's youngest with us. Brandon totally cracks me up. He heard the peacocks and started freaking out, "it's Kevin kimmy, it's Kevin!" Kevin from UP, he loves that show. Anyway, he insisted on waving to ALL of the peacocks, male and female, through Tracy Aviary.
I have never seen such a personable animal. This bird seriously followed us around the whole cage and was close enough to take really good pictures of it. I thought it was kind of funny.

Brandon was more interested in the grass and other things than the real birds. He did like the ducks though.

Brandon didn't like that the birds were "looking at him"

The day before this, we went to the Great Salt Lake. BLEH. The smell about near killed me, so needless to say, did not stay there long. What is there to take pictures of out there except cattails and dead birds? I thought you may prefer the cattails. Kim really did take pictures of the dead birds on her camera...creepy. I took pictures of the cattails instead.

The day after Becca's wedding, and the day before we went to the Great Salt Lake, Brian had the opportunity to baptize his friend. He was very excited to do so, and I hear it was a great experience. I was unable to attend because I had to work.

Flowers flowers everywhere. Temple Square has a good variety of flowers. I enjoyed them.

I'm telling you, I enjoyed the flowers.

Brian made fun of me for taking so many pictures of Flowers at Temple Square while Becca and Steven had their pictures taken.

The main reason we were there...The Salt Lake Temple is very pretty. I like that temple, and I think we will have our generational photos taken there when Spencer is born.

Again with the flowers, sorry

I wanted a picture of Brian and I. We have so few pictures of us this year, I thought Becca's wedding warranted an excuse to have a new picture taken...i have a funky expression on my face though...

Awe...what a cute couple. I love to see how blissfully happy people are when they are first married. :) It's so cute.

And the last photo is from Easter. All the nieces and nephews at their Easter egg hunt that Brian and I setup for them this year. They had a blast, and next year Spencer will be able to do it too.

That is about all that has really happened. I dont really feel the need to go into great detail about things, but I did want to catch up with some pictures at least. Until next time...

Yes, I actually look pregnant now. I'm at 31 1/2 weeks in this picture, and I am currently 33 weeks now. Not much longer left. Though I will admit, 7 weeks feels like forever to go.

Just wanted to say hi

Perhaps I should just set aside one day a week for blogging and catching up with life. It seems so busy right now, and not just for me-life that is. oy. When I thik about the next few weeks, I get overwhelmed. The 4 is my shower at my in-laws. The 11 is my shower with my friends. the 12 is my mom's birthday. The 19 is Fathers Day. The next week we are house sitting for my in-laws. Then there will be the 4 of July. July 5 is my brothers birthday. The 6 is my nephews birthday...and in 2-3 weeks after that will be...Spencers birthday!

I have so many pictures I need to put up, but my computer is so slow to upload, I may just take what I want off it and crash it myself to start it over clean so it will run faster. I have pictures from Beccas wedding, my little field trips with my sister because she has no car and i am her chauffer most of the time. oh and i have pictures of random things. Anyway, I really just wanted to say hi...

Sigh. So Brian got laid off. I'm very frustrated trying to figure out how we are going to pay the bills with just my income. My boss is only giving me 2 days a week, when the other leads at my store are getting 4-5 days a week still. It's not fair. I work my butt off for my company and they repay me by giving me a whole 12 hours a week.

We have no health insurance, and we have medical bills up the wazoo. Medicaid won't cover us unless we pay them $2,500 a month because we make more than the salary cap. If we made the $4,000 they say we make a month, I guarantee you that we would not be living with my parents, scraping what little we can just to get by. I'd have my own place and be able to save a thousand bucks a month. Seriously...why do they have to make it so damn difficult for everyone?

I hate being in this predicament. I'm having a baby in a little over two months and instead of really being excited, I'm dreading how much the cost is going to be now. I'm praying that he isn't early and that he is healthy and that there will be no complications. I'm tired of people saying that "you should have waited until you had insurance." We weren't expecting to get pregnant when we did; it just happened. We weren't expecting all the complications and ER visit in the beginning, either. Don't get me wrong; I'm happy to be able to finally have my baby. It took us forever to get pregnant. It just seems that when something finally works out for us, crap happens to make our lives miserable. sigh. Sorry for complaining, I just needed to vent a little.

Busy

So yesterday was my baby shower for my family. Well, my side anyway. I got some pretty cool stuff. Amazingly, i didn't get one bottle or one binky. I got some clothes, and thankfully, they weren't all newborn size, so I have a decent variety to choose from up til he's a year. Of course I wll have to buy him lots more, but at least he has a decent start.

My Grandmother, my mom's mom, made him two cute quilts and some receiving blankets. I got a bunch of diapers, a baby bath and some toys and some baby care stuff.

What I really need to do is go buy him a baby book, or go buy the stuff to make him a baby book for his first year. I wanted to get it started before he was born...yeah...that is likely not going to happen. I just have so much to do. Becca's wedding next week, transferring to a new store the week after that, Bri's family shower the week after that, friend shower the week after that, then there will only be 4 weeks til he is born...eep! the last bit is going by so fast.
